MONSTROSITY has revealed their upcoming album, 'Screams From Beneath The Surface,' scheduled for release on March 13 through Metal Blade Records. This marks the band's first album in seven years and delivers a blend of technical death metal characterized by aggression and intensity.
The lineup includes founder and drummer Lee Harrison, long-time guitarist Matt Barnes, original bassist Mark Van Erp returning to the fold, and new vocalist Ed Webb, formerly of MASSACRE. Webb's vocal contributions add a fresh energy to the band's sound.
The album comprises ten tracks, such as 'Banished To The Skies,' 'The Atrophied,' and the lead single 'The Colossal Rage,' which is accompanied by a music video directed by Thomas Crane. The songs demonstrate a mix of heavy riffs, complex drumming, and vivid lyrical themes that reflect both the band's roots and their evolution.
Recording took place in multiple studios with producer Jason Suecof overseeing drums, bass, and mixing, while vocals, guitars, and mastering were completed at Morrisound Studios with Jim Morris. The album's cover art was created organically by artist Timbul Cahyono without the use of AI or digital manipulation.
Through 'Screams From Beneath The Surface,' MONSTROSITY maintains the brutal death metal approach they are known for while incorporating new elements that push the genre forward.
