Elijah Blue Allman Arrested Twice in One Weekend in New Hampshire
Elijah Blue Allman, the son of entertainment icon Cher and rock legend Gregg Allman, and the frontman for metal group Deadsy, is being held in preventive detention following a chaotic weekend that saw him arrested twice across two different New Hampshire towns. The 49-year-old Malibu resident, who has no known ties to the Granite State, now faces a string of charges ranging from simple assault to felony burglary.
The weekend’s legal troubles began on the evening of Friday, February 27, at the prestigious St. Paul’s School in Concord. Police were summoned to the campus dining hall around 7:00 PM to address reports of a belligerent "unwanted guest." According to investigators, Allman allegedly used a cane to poke a student and subsequently pushed a faculty member with the same object. After being intercepted by campus security and handed over to local authorities, he was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespass, and criminal threatening. He was released on personal recognizance later that night.
However, the reprieve was short-lived. On the morning of Sunday, March 1, Windham Police responded to a frantic 911 call from a homeowner who reported an intruder breaking into her residence through a rear door. The homeowner remained hidden in a closet while dispatchers guided officers to the scene. Upon arrival, police discovered a shattered glass pane in the back door and followed a trail of footprints in the snow leading into the house.
Inside the residence, officers found Allman seated on a living room couch, reportedly smoking a cigarette. When questioned, Allman claimed he had been given permission by the owner to break in and enter, though the homeowners adamantly stated they had never met him. The break-in resulted in approximately $2,700 in damages, including the shattered door and a cigarette burn on a rug.
Allman appeared in Salem District Court on Monday, March 2, where he was charged with felony burglary, two counts of criminal mischief, and breach of bail conditions stemming from his arrest in Concord less than 48 hours prior. A judge ordered him to be held in preventive detention, citing the risk to the community and the swift nature of the re-offense. A probable cause hearing has been set for March 11. Neither representatives for Cher nor Allman's legal counsel have released a formal statement regarding the incidents.
