POISON's RIKKI ROCKETT Says He Has Been In Direct Contact BRET MICHAELS: 'We're Gonna Do Something In 2027'

POISON plans to celebrate the 41st anniversary of their debut album with a tour in 2027 as band members maintain positive relations.

POISON drummer Rikki Rockett recently shared an update regarding the band's touring plans during an appearance on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk." He revealed that he and lead singer Bret Michaels have been in direct contact and that the band is aiming to tour in 2027 to mark the 41st anniversary of their debut album, "Look What the Cat Dragged In."

Earlier discussions about a 2026 tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary fell through, with conflicting reports about the reasons. Rockett initially claimed Michaels demanded disproportionate earnings, but Michaels denied such financial negotiations ever took place, attributing the delay to logistical challenges instead. Both emphasized that the band members remain on good terms and encouraged direct communication over public statements.

Rockett addressed various rumors circulating on social media, denying issues related to health or substance abuse among band members. He confirmed that all members are committed to performing and reiterated that the decision to postpone the tour was pragmatic and not due to internal conflicts.

Both Rockett and Michaels expressed optimism about the upcoming plans. Michaels mentioned the tour would be called "40 Plus One," highlighting their intention to honor over four decades as a band. They hope to deliver a memorable experience for fans when they eventually hit the road.

Rockett also clarified that while there had been speculation about recruiting a new lead singer, the band is currently focused on reuniting the original lineup. He acknowledged that organizing a large-scale tour requires significant preparation, which contributed to shifting the schedule to 2027.
