Flogging Molly Announce North American Fall Tour

This has been a whirlwind year for the critically acclaimed band, Flogging Molly. Their 2008 release Float hit via SideOneDummy on March 4th and catapulted the band into a #4 slot on the Billboard Top 200, a #1 spot on the Billboard Independent Albums, and #2 on Billboard Alternative Album Chart. Following on the heels of a sold out national spring tour, an appearance at the Coachella Festival and a performance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the band are thrilled to announce a fall tour across North America. Set to kick off on September 12th in Portland, ME at the Asylum, the tour will take the band through many markets that they missed on their spring Green 17 Tour ensuring that the band get in front of their seemingly limitless North American fan base before the tour wraps in Los Angeles on October 25th at the Palladium.

Flogging Molly's combined album sales in the US are currently over 1.3 million and their shows consistently sell out all over the world. Flogging Molly's previous album, "Within a Mile of Home" debuted at #1 on Billboard's Independent Artist Chart and #20 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart. While the band hasn't needed to rely on commercial radio or video play to achieve their cult-like status, their first single off Float, "Requiem for a Dying Song" found success organically on LA's KROQ FM and was quickly added to radio stations nationwide.

You will also be able to catch the band this summer playing festival shows across Europe and the United States including a performance at Lollapalooza on August 3rd and the River Rocks festival in New York City on July 31st.

A special fan-only ticket presale for the fall tour begins this Thursday, June 12th at 12 PM Local Time through and Tickets go on sale to the General Public on Saturday, June 21st. For more information on Flogging Molly, the upcoming tour and Float please check out or
