TURNSTILE wins 2026 Best Metal Performance Grammy for 'Birds' from their album 'Never Enough.'

At the 68th annual Grammy Awards held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, TURNSTILE received the award for Best Metal Performance for their track "Birds." The recognition came during the pre-telecast ceremony, highlighting the band's influence in the metal genre.

TURNSTILE's album "Never Enough" also garnered nominations in several categories including Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Alternative Music Performance. This made them the first band or artist to be nominated in Rock, Alternative, and Metal categories in the same year.

The band won Best Rock Album over notable competitors such as DEFTONES, HAIM, LINKIN PARK, and Yungblud. The Grammy Awards this year considered music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025, with winners chosen by voting members of the Recording Academy, a collective of music creators and industry professionals.

"Never Enough" was recorded in both Los Angeles and Baltimore and produced by TURNSTILE’s Brendan Yates. The album showcases an evolving sound that defies traditional genre boundaries and is accompanied by a companion film directed by Yates and guitarist Pat McCrory.

TURNSTILE’s lineup includes Brendan Yates (vocals, synth, keys), Franz Lyons (bass), Pat McCrory (guitar), Daniel Fang (drums), and Meg Mills (guitar), all contributing to the band’s innovative style and success.
