Californian rockers Buckcherry have officially announced the first leg of their upcoming summer trek, titled the "Let It Roar" tour. The run is launched in continued support of their eleventh studio album, Roar Like Thunder, which originally debuted in June 2025.
Tour Kick-off and Festival Highlights
The tour is scheduled to begin on May 2, 2026, at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland. The month-long journey will conclude on May 31 at The Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City.
This leg is particularly notable for featuring Buckcherry’s first-ever appearances at two major rock festivals: Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio.
New Live Video and Album Production
Coinciding with the tour announcement, the band has premiered a new live concert video for the title track "Roar Like Thunder". The footage was captured during the group's 2025 touring cycle.
Roar Like Thunder was produced by longtime collaborator Marti Frederiksen at Sienna Studios in Nashville. Frederiksen, known for his work with Aerosmith and Def Leppard, co-wrote all ten tracks on the album alongside vocalist Josh Todd and guitarist Stevie Dacanay.
Josh Todd on the Modern Music Industry
In a recent interview, singer Josh Todd reflected on how much the industry has shifted since Buckcherry first formed 30 years ago. He noted that while streaming helps younger fans discover their back catalog through playlists, selling physical records has largely become a thing of the past.
"If you want to make a living at this, you have to be on stage," Todd remarked. He emphasized that touring and merchandise are now the primary drivers for rock artists in the digital era.
