SACRED OATH Release "1986" Single And Lyric Video

Sacred Oath Celebrating 40 years this year, power thrash legends Sacred Oath have released a new single and lyric video, "1986", in a tribute to the nostalgia-driven genre they helped spearhead so many years ago.

"The 80s are always looked back on as the golden age of metal, and certainly the creativity back then was through the roof," says vocalist and guitarist Rob Thorne. "But nostalgia is funny, isn't it? We only remember the good things. 1986 was a great and formative year for us, but it was also tough. We survived some heavy stuff, as a band, and as a country."

Sacred Oath are planning to release a complete album of new songs in 2026 and have been issuing video singles during the recording process. "It's not the way we have released albums in the past, but things have changed," Thorne continues. "We're all living in a streaming world and it's so immediate. This is the best way we've found to keep up and still produce what we think is some of our best work yet."

"1986" is available to stream worldwide on all platforms currently serviced by Virgin/UMG. Check out the lyric video below:
