Sharon Osbourne praises Ozzy Osbourne's irreplaceable influence while accepting the Visionary Award at Billboard's Power 100 Party 2026.

On January 28, 2026, Sharon Osbourne received the Visionary Award at Billboard's Power 100 Party in Los Angeles. In her acceptance speech, she reflected on her extensive career in the music industry, emphasizing her long-standing commitment to nurturing exceptional talent. Sharon shared her admiration for artists with an innate creative spark, which she described as impossible to replicate or manufacture.

She recounted her early years working for her father, a successful yet morally flawed music manager, and her eventual partnership with Ozzy Osbourne. Sharon vividly remembered the impact of seeing Ozzy perform with Black Sabbath for the first time and how his distinct style and creativity set him apart in heavy metal.

Sharon highlighted Ozzy's rebellious nature and his ability to succeed on his own terms despite industry obstacles. She credited him with introducing melodic elements to metal, setting him apart from his peers. She declared there would never be another artist like him in the industry.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, due to a heart attack compounded by coronary artery and Parkinson’s diseases. A private funeral was held in Buckinghamshire, England, attended by close friends, family, and notable musicians. Fans also gathered in large numbers in Birmingham to honor his legacy.

Seven months before his passing, Ozzy reunited with the original Black Sabbath members for a final performance at the "Back To The Beginning" charity concert, delivering a mix of solo and band classics in an emotional show. Throughout his career, Ozzy left an indelible mark on music and those who worked with him.
