SEPULTURA, the Brazilian-American metal band, has announced that their last EP will be called 'The Cloud Of Unknowing.' This release contains four new songs recorded with newly appointed drummer Greyson Nekrutman, who replaced Eloy Casagrande earlier in 2024.
The band recorded these tracks spontaneously during a stay in Miami, taking advantage of a relaxed schedule without label pressure. Guitarist Andreas Kisser emphasized the creative freedom and lack of rush, highlighting the band's approach to artistic risks and evolution over their 40-year career.
SEPULTURA began their farewell tour in March 2024, starting in their hometown of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The North American leg features support from bands like EXODUS and BIOHAZARD, spanning major cities and festivals across the U.S. and Canada. The tour also involves exclusive VIP packages including a vinyl version of the new EP.
Looking ahead, Kisser revealed plans for a final concert in São Paulo around October 2026, which will serve as a large-scale celebration inviting all former members to perform. This inclusive approach aims to honor the band’s history without dwelling on past disputes, offering a memorable event for fans and family alike.
In addition to the EP and farewell shows, SEPULTURA is working on a live album compiling performances from 40 different cities, capturing the energy of their concluding run on stage. The band conveys a sense of closure on their own terms, appreciating their longevity and ongoing connection with fans worldwide.
