The Machine Returns: Fear Factory Announces First Australian Tour in a Decade
Industrial metal pioneers Fear Factory have officially announced their long-awaited return to Australian and New Zealand shores this May. Titled the "Cybernetic Domination: 35 Years of Fear Tour," this run marks the band’s first full headlining trek across Australia in over ten years and their first visit to New Zealand since 2012.
A Milestone Celebration
The tour is more than just a series of shows; it is a celebration of the band’s 35-year legacy. Since their formation in 1989, Fear Factory has been at the forefront of the industrial metal movement, blending precision-cut riffs with electronic textures and the signature vocal contrast of melodic hooks and brutal aggression.
"The Machine returns," the band shared in a statement. "This is more than a tour. This is a celebration of 35 years of Fear… Man, Machine, Metal."
Historic Firsts and New Horizons
One of the biggest highlights of the announcement is a historic first-ever performance in Tasmania, with a stop scheduled at Hobart's Odeon. The tour also marks a new era for the lineup, featuring founding guitarist Dino Cazares alongside vocalist Milo Silvestro (who joined in 2023), bassist Tony Campos, and drummer Pete Webber.
The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their eleventh studio album—their first with Silvestro—which is slated for release later this year.
