Tom Morello Honored By Iraq War Veteran

Audioslave Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave star Tom Morello has been declared a soldier for peace by a group of Iraq War veterans. The rocker has been presented with one soldier's medals for fighting for an end to war back home in America.

Proud Morello tells Spin magazine, "A member of the Iraq Veterans Against the War gave me his medals after I played a Nightwatchmen show at the Winter Soldier conference. He gave a moving speech, saying, 'The real battle for freedom and democracy is not overseas; it's here. And you're a soldier in it.'"
