The gangway’s undocked
The runways ahead
The signals guide our way back home
My senses are mocked
On thought in my head
How flies a bird with downs of chrome?
Engines ignite, set fire to my fears
Gaining height, puts pressure on my ears
Beneath my feet the lights are flickering
Futile fires in the night
See the stars above signalling
Hear the sirens below sing
They await us, to embrace us
In their icy hollow grave
We deceive us, god has left us
In the air we are not safe
Why men have to fly and conquer the sky- the storms have now gathered here
Won’t you realize that you are despised - it’s a plan of a higher sphere
Decompressed, air out of my lung
Live again all that I have done
From my birth to these fading hours
Rushing to the sea that will devour
Shattered parts and the human load
Raining down like I have foretold
From the sky where the gods will laugh
They rain their tears right onto our path
Out the sky, in fire alight – our wings have been torn apart
We won’t realize that even disguise can’t shape our human shell
Progress – what will it give us?
A chance to enter the court of gods?
Everything’s failed - our wings of wax
The sun of nature – all trace erased
They await me, to embrace me
In their icy hollow grave
I deceived me, god has left me
In the water I’m not safe
