The egocentric dream is fading

But the arrogance lives on

The serpent slithered into Eden

Fed us from the tree of knowledge

Oblivion instead of heaven

The stark lack of a creator

And a life without a meaning

The existential dread

The realisation that were only human

Is a price some couldn't pay

Cast down from Eden

Cast out

Infidels and nonbelievers

Place you at the centre
