They purified the earth

Of a rampant disease

Destroying the filth

That was humanity

They were thought

To be extinct

No evidence

Was ever found

Dismissed

As creatures of myth

Yet they still lurk around

Hidden within the shadows

That are cast by those alive

They crawl inside their flesh

It is there they will thrive

Taking control

Of body and mind

Infiltrate the earth

Through power and design

A show of strength

No resistance could match

Reliving the days

Of their murderous past

Inhabit each life

Until all are gone

The extinction of man
