The Black Forest Lyrics

The Wind swirls around.

The howling darkness calls.

The forest beckons to me in a dreamtime awe, In it

I hear the owl laughing

I feel the statue staring at me.

The deathly cold stops me dead, life reborn in the moonlight...

(apparation)hovers past my eyes, I walk through the garden of stone

I hear the spectre moaning, I see the corpselights burning

The tree; its look is haunting

The moon looks down from above...

The mortuary doors open wide, a voice calls my name

Shade of the dead haunt about, A lonely skull screams aloud

A falling branch signifies the end

The ghouls begin to gather...

Now, in fear, I run away, I hear the blackbird at my back

Stop in front of a tombstone, In horror I read the epitaph

Standing in front of an open grave

The markers words spell out my name.

In front of the grave I'm strickendown

Hit from behind by the phantom hound

Awake in grave Half covered by dirt

I look up to see the gavedigger at work

Buried alive a spirit visits my grave

In memory of me she leaves a bouquet of black roses.
