The end is coming,

The silence breeds the fall,

Our time has been wasted

Spent it all, it all

Penance waiting,

Ten thousand years we’ve toiled,

Been breaking the backs of others weighted,

Subjugated,

The void is calling,

We choose, and always choose wrong

I tried,

To reconcile everything,

In the end I’m left with nothing,

Why, try,

Lost in our own reveries,

While the world is slowly burning,

No hope is left to find

I wish things hadn’t turned out this way,

I wish we didn’t have to bear this terrible fate,

We have to decide what to do with the time we have,

But how do we decide when it all keeps happening again

And nothing we can do will stop it

That change will happen in time,

Our hope we cling to will try,

But in the end it’s all a lie,

Just take a breath and close your eyes

Gone, with all the wicked,

Our cries to God,

Unholy vengeance, judgement passed,

The final verdicts fall,

Our prayers were answered,

The flood begins,

We pay the piper, played our part,

And now we lay our sins,

With all the time we had to spend,

We still refuse to pay the price,
