Wall of Eyes Lyrics

Little girl, please take my hand.

I have something that I'd like to show you.

An alternate dimension...

With an entry in the deepest of sleep.

It will be known that this is

reality, and not a dream.

Cut yourself, and you shall bleed.

Lose your way, and you will never be free.

Now stand before this wall and wait.

An eye appears upon it to reveal your likely fate.

One blink and all it's vision becomes that of your own.

A dark, padded room where an older you writhes alone.

The eye now dissipates. With two doors it's replaced.

One door, an exit home. The other an entry into this place.

She knows with little doubt, it'd be best to return to bed.

But struck with a child's wonder, she chooses the entry to "beyond her head."

They will never hear her speak a word of "sense" again. (This world is not her home).

She now follows a path of a color indescribable.

With every step she takes, a day in her life passes away.

On and on and on and on and on. Towards something that she is unsure of.

A someone, a something, a place, a face, a sound, a secret, a God to save her?

[Solo; James]

Now stand upon this path and wait.

In the sky, an eye appears to lead her to her fate.

But she feels within her heart that something must be wrong.

In the distance, music plays: a dirge, the most somber of song.

The ground begins to shake, and a hand suspends in air.

It points in another direction, she never knew was there.

It is neither back, nor forward. Neither up, nor down.

She follows. All is black, until she hears the beeping sound.

She will never know of all the things that could have been.

Her life was but a waste.

Lying on her death bed, she knows she has reached the end.

As many beeps turn to one.
