Zerfall Lyrics

I tasted the corrupted drink of a laughing witch,

summoned by the cold.

She appeared to me as if in a dream.

I couldn't believe my eyes as she laughed at me high on the icy mountains.

I felt a cold breeze as she spoke up,

then she disappeared as an icy wind.

After I tasted this draught from her,

everything seemed to flee from me.

My body, slowly decaying.

Teeth fell out my mouth

and blood flowed like barrels.

I tried to stop it, to no avail.

Laid down in the river and my blood fused with the water.

Creeping winters breathe fules my body

Icy air, consciousness withers away.

Fading touch to truth of beeing,

encounter a forsaken flow.

Profound connection, time slips away.

A locked up cave, uncertain wether I dwell inside the circle or beyond the edge.

Find the key, or search within.

Seeking an ancient calm remembered,

encounter frostbitten winds, a vital goal.

Chains or something blissfull, freezing bite of cold or shelter, long desired.

Reflections seem unclear, veiled thoughts.

Carve a grave but who‘s inside?

Will you kneel or stand up tall?

Glimpse beauty in shadows hidden.

Root of evil, witch uncovered,

Gut her out, eat her eyes.

Glimpse the world with borrowed sight.

Consume her knowledge, absorb the wisdom.

Echo in the mirror, what have you become?
