Sentenced to death by the black robed judge Sending me into this sleep Awakening in fear of opening my eyes Wondering where I could be Surrounded by darkness I paced my prison Hoping to clarify its size I know that the room in its dark state Was hiding my fate from my eyes Falling to the floor I lay still scoping a pit Knowing worse torture was left to come I questioned the luck of my fall After this I had fallen asleep Waking up was not so good The Chamber was slightly lighted now And I was bound to a frame of wood Lying on my back I observed above The painting resembling time Hung from this picture directly above Was a pendulum sharp like a blade Before me I saw my most definite and gruesome fate Quicker and closer the hissing blade swinging towards me Death would be a relief This torture was slowly killing me There must be some kind of solution I lay there still as the blade moved closer I lay there thinking Impressions of my past visions of my future Blind visions, Oh God What have I done Suddenly I thought of a way To break away from this death Luring the rats that come from the pit To chew my way free of the frame With this idea I had broken loose With little time to spare I had defeated death itself And had made the unfair, fair Oh! But wait! The iron walls were glowing red The heat intensified as the walls moved closer in My fate was the circular pit.
