Darkness falls upon the night

As quietness fills the air

The children of God have applied the blood

The angel of death will pass there

The unbelievers mock and scorn

Egypt has chosen its own gods

The angel of death will slay the firstborn

In the homes that don't have the blood

Eerie screams echo down streets

Lives are crushed in one night

As the death angel robs some of life

The Passover story is nothing but true

For those not covered in the blood of the Christ

Eternal death will set in when they die

Will be spared from the torment in hell

We will share in the life from above
