In the endless night

Cold as I walk

Burns when I fall to the ground

No time to rest

To reach an ephemeral goal

Crossing the vast plane

Of infinite woe

Searching for a source

While turning insane

Every desert has a well

Drawing strangers to itself

With a promise to relieve

The thirst of the human race

Voices start

To deafen me

At the door I stumble

Going down the catacombs

Torches light up on the walls

Echo of my throbbing heart

Makes the lights pulse in the dark

Footsteps syncing with the pulse

And it's getting hard to breathe

Standing at the deepest well

Decomposing hell within

Realizing I've descended deep within

Myself

Burning down, reborn each day

Sentenced to a slow decay

In pursuit

Of nothingness

Within

An emptiness

Lights go out

I'm doomed to stay

Mourning the life

Awaiting the end

Counting the hours

Going insane

Guarding the secrets

Of the well
