I have seen what hides beneath the waves of this black lake

I have touched the shades below the surface of the wake

Float adrift on rivers deep

Drown your mind in endless streams

Of fear, so deep no one can breath

No response to the screams from beneath

We fear the forces of these streams

When they stir our dreams

For escape is not a choice

We cling to our conscious frail debris

When the ships embrace the reef

And scream with broken voice

Consumed by maelstroms in the inner self

Swallowed by waves of the unknown

Descend to deeper levels unexplored by man

Where sights of life’s becoming is shown

The water show us things abhorrent

Hands reaching up to the surface pure

The soul is shown in its vile torrents

Turning the sanity of man into war

Cold embrace of fingers white

Around my throat it’s gripping tight

To the dark they force me down

In the streams of mind I soon drown

Reaching the core of what I fear the most

Greeting the psychic abyss and its host

Embracing the unknown, my watery tomb

In horror and stillness I'm drifting - I'm home
