I’ve witnessed them die far too young to suffer

Seen the skin turn gray as the life leaves their eyes

I’ve begged and pleaded above and below

To take the place ov those in tribulation

This feeling has birthed my disbelief

There’s nothing to provide any comfort

Liars continue preaching with stained tongues

We’re told it’s all part ov the plan

Blinded by this forced loyalty

I’ve searched this life for answers

I’ve waited for a miracle

I’ve prayed and prayed

Constantly fallen to my knees

Begging for divine intervention

But nothing responds to me

What kind ov god would test a child?

I’ve watched them wither away

Far too young

Body and mind wide awake

Slipping into decay



Why would they be forced to endure such pain?

I see now I have nothing to give

For no one’s in control

And god and faith mean nothing
