Open my eyes, let go All my life this has been pulled over on me But when your cries go unheard you cannot help question what you cannot see And so I do Just take away this faith, no I don’t need to pray I will never believe in one set way Take away, break me free from these empty lies I don’t need all of this shit to consume my life Can your god make a boulder that he cannot lift, or bless America with the right to kill Contradictions found in religions all over To me it means the answer cannot be found from here Just burn the cross that you bear from your storybook Take the empty promises that in truth are lies Break bonds of confusion, spawning from a hope, formed into a mold that fits denial I must decide, use my eyes, realize what’s in front of me Take a stance on my own, truth is in what I hold It makes me sick and numb to think about the petty way that we are acting Segregate, complicate, discriminate, separate all of these theories You claim to have the key to life, well I don’t even want to know Because your answers are so fake to me You may not see my point But can you see your own, you just believe these myths I will go my own way, it’s what I know Open your eyes, truth is consistency based So take a close look and see if your faith is all in vain Morals, lies, and consequence
