49 Days Lyrics

When life comes to an end, our instincts fear what will become reality

To rise or to descend, it matters not

The fate that is yours is the one that you made for yourself

It comes back around, we'll see it again

So lucidly placed, and yet to this day

We all think that our purpose here is to stay strong

with no thought towards right and wrong

but I've built up a tolerance to those thick shelled ideals

For this day was another day at one time

Judgment was passed by the 49th day

It's left me with a tolerance, it's turned others into demons

There is no more pure way, there is no chance just fate

hatred, greed, vanity; they'll all be judged one day

I'm building a life based on all the former lives that I've lead

I think it's made me forgiving this time

I deserve all the burdens over my head, it's all just in the end

To escape or to remain here with these safe and closed eyes

Waiting for an answer, never searching at all

Or to look behind while still looking forward, to see that

all directions end up the same, realize that and you can move on

it all coexists on one plane, we all walk different, yet the same

dark, light, death and life, duality coalescing

there is no difference, there is no lapse in time

to fight is to break your own skin

and right begets right in the end

One coalition of all different ends,

completing the circle from within

the only way forward's to come back around

the only way backwards is to stand ground

you pass your judgment with the path you take

still I must decide, open the eye never opened

the white exactly the same as the black, come together in a shade of gray

to make decisions based on that thought, is to find the way

life, it comes back around death once again

and death comes back to life

it's all the same when we come to the end

thus there is nothing we should fear

watch it slip away, worry not

watch it all slip away, it matters not

it denotes the start of new life

when life comes to an end
