I ask for Your help

It feels as if my flesh is cursed

I am frail, and weak

Pain walks with me

Death stares at me

Help me to keep

my focus on You

as not to be distracted

by my ailments

For within You is healing

comfort and rest

Please remove my maladies

I wish to remain on this earth

to laugh, live and love

and worship You

Merciful God

I thank you for the blessings

You have given me

and I'll do my part

to maintain my strength

endure pain and

ignore death
