Elegy Lyrics

Here lies all I've been,

still in the dirt.

No trace of anything

but filth and rot.

I sing my elegy,

to bid your rest.

Buried beneath the snow,

lifeless and cold.

I stand before my tomb,

under a mournful moon.

These walls become my cage,

black tar runs through my veins.

One crimson tear

falls to the ground.

No-one but me

grieves for this corpse.

A fire devours my flesh,

it feeds off my pain.

Lost among phantoms of dread,

wandering all alone.

How could my soul heal

in absence of time?

Day after day, the same,

deep in the dark.

I sing my elegy,

to bid your rest.

Buried beneath the snow,

lifeless and cold.

Poison fills the void,

all inside my body;

a mist of silence within.

My screams are all trapped in my throat,

I yearn to cut them all away.
