From East to West Lyrics

Album: Uriel

THE APOSTLE:

Brothers, do not be ignorant

About those who have fallen asleep

Do not grieve like the rest of men

Who have no hope, you have hope

We believe that Jesus died and rose again

We believe that God will bring life to those who sleep

According to his own word, we who are still alive

Will not precede the dead in Christ

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven

With loud command, with Uriel’s voice, and the trumpet call

Then the dead in Christ will rise

Then the dead in Christ will rise to their Lord

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven

With loud command, with Uriel’s voice, and the trumpet call

And then we who are still alive will be caught up together

And we will meet the Lord in the air

Do not weep

Don’t be ignorant

Do not grieve

For those who have fallen asleep

For they will wake

And they will live forever

For those in Christ will rise

To meet our Lord in the air

THE PROPHET:

Blow the trumpet in Zion

Sound alarm on the holy hill

The earth shakes and the sky trembles

The sun and moon are darkened

The stars no longer can shine forth

The foundations of the earth are shaken

Let all those who hear tremble

For the Day of the Lord is here

A day of darkness a day of gloom

A day of blackness, of fire and smoke

Like dawn spreading across the hills

So mighty armies will come forth

Before them their fire devours

Behind them their fires ablaze

All that they touch is turned to waste

And nothing from them can escape

The Lord thunders in the vanguard

His forces mighty beyond number

The Day of the Lord will be great

And terrible who can endure?

THE APOSTLE:

Do not fear

Don’t be ignorant

Do not grieve

For you are those who will stand

On that great and terrible day

You will see the sign of the Son of Man

Written across the skies

And You’ll rejoice

For those in Christ will rise

Do not fear

Do not grieve

For those who have fallen asleep

For they will wake

And they will rise

To meet our Lord in the air

We will live with him forever
