I stand motionless save for my eyes

Watching blow over, the sands of time

This ridiculous life, a meaningless lesson

When nowhere to be found, rhyme or reason

Please forgive my momentary lapse

I've had to pause to loosen my straps

Fade into the present, reliving my futures

Melt into the moment, surrounded by lures

I climb back now, to rejoin my being

Back to that uneasy restless feeling

Unto my head for lack of thought

As I ponder what time has wrought
