Did you see where I left hope?

Trapped here in this cage of flesh

Down corridors I float

Brother, sister, mother, son

Luck decides the victim

Time is just a bomb for some

Cannot stop the ticking

All consuming paranoia

Falling under the weight of the world

Break of day a silent torture

Back under a rock you curl

Wandering around in circles

Seconds, hours one the same

Everyone around you sleeping

Oblivious to silent pain

Slow decay in perfect order

Pills to sleep and more to wake

Scene is set for tragic ending

Reaching out does not a weakling make

Just say the word, and I will try to help you

I cant save the world, but I can wait here with you

Now the shell has grown a smile

Take the hope and share it out

Walls dissolve and let the day in

Higher learning ends the doubt

Open eyes to understanding

Home, compassion, love and light

Make a fist and think of nothing

But the end of hopeless night
