The Bodhi Tree Lyrics

Written 2019 - 2021

Music: Iacovella/Walburn

Lyrics: Iacovella

Seven weeks...

Two and a half millenia. Bodh Gaya.

Enlightened existence was attained

Karthika, dead leaves fall

Nonetheless, Ashoka held a joyous festival

Yet Tissarakkha slayed the mother of figs

Allow me to humbly contemplate underneath

My ego swims uncontrollably

Dhyana. A reaching mind.

Deliver calmness

Bodhi Tree

Whole and complete

Seven weeks...

Inside my mindscape

Lurching cosmos

I feel grounded, however

Endless profound wisdom gushing forth

From the ancient's throat

Tutelage blessed upon me from said sage

Multiple lifetimes of...?

(...multiple lifetimes.

Infinite expanse, decaying body, flourishing mind.)

49 days. 49 dawns.

Entrance attained, entrance in light of...

[Solo - Iacovella: Contorted Soulscape]

[Solo - Campbell: Experiencing Infinity]

The soul, old soul

Without myself I am null

(I become) Enriched, majestic and woven!

[Solo - Iacovella: Autumnal Dawnbreak]

[Solo - Walburn: Downpouring of Contemplation]

Crystalline blessed light

Flows from violet mountains

Into The Bodhi Tree
