Our Lady of Oblivion Lyrics

The grey dim light of the early dawn dances

Around the chamber

The liquid surfaces on the floor reflecting the sun

In mirror I gaze, awaiting the familiar visage

The unknown malice, and anger looks back at me

Last night I have dreamt of the tower again

I have stood on its top, and watch the clouds

Rolling up the hills

The tidal wave of darkness swallowing the city below

The air smelt of decay and tears

I heard her voice again, singing to me in my dream

The queen of the night, my sweetest lady of the eclipse

Her heralds are ever present at the base of the tower

Can you hear the teeth gnashing ? The gurgling

Sound of gluttony ?

Each night I wake later and later

The sheets covered in sweat

And her song rings in my hears into the high noon

How I long to feel her cold embrace

Again, during those hours

But only the empty glares of people are my companions.

This day the omens were clear, I could not

Sleep the night before

My fever is rising and it is still dark outside, is it noon yet ?

Through the window I see faces of people, empty inside

The seal of the lady apparent on their foreheads

As a pool of darkness.

I have seen a man tearing out holes from his own flesh

The seal alight with a black glare

There is a woman eating her child, her eyes open wide

Her seal burning with a black light

A child is choking her sister, bloodied

Fingers ripping her throat

Lady's mark on her forehead ablaze

All will fall, there will be difference between

A man and a beast.

I cannot sleep now, I hear her voice in every cry of pain

The cacophony of screams outside is deafening

I look into the mirror again, am I still myself ?

The seal is shining on my head, the cold liquid

Seeps into my mouth.

Hours pass, what is true and what is false ?

Oblivion is all we have.

The sun has risen again, black !

At this moment the world died.

Empty, soulless husks dance all around me

Her song is in the air, a rapture of decay everywhere

I clearly see her face, now, through bleeding eyes

The beauty immortal, the face of god,

Our lady of oblivion has come to me !
