Unseeing Wrath of Baptise Lycan Lyrics

Album: VII

He gathered his belonging and threw upon him his cloak

Where he greeted his weeping home of the forest, the oak

The way was made clear as the passage appeared

The gathering of the lycanthropes, to return to them their one soul

For without it she would die and the forest to cry alone

For the duke of hearts feared its secrets

The gathering coursed through the night, of plans to return it home

When he put his ear up to the door to hear, a Thud

The horses and knights where upon them

"RUUUN FOR YOUR LIVES" - Baptise

Screamed the man, "Or we will all be done"

As his brothers changed shapes of beasts and went to run

The Door split, and the brother of the moon was caught

From the view of his wooden cage he approached the heart mansion

Bound and thrown to the ground like a dog,

The duke asked what tricks the lycans had been up to

With no reply but wit and humour, the duke lost his temper, a tad bit sooner

He trusted the brand into the man's eyes and blinded him for life

"What will we do with him sir? Shall we finish him?" - knight of hearts

"No, let him live, I want him to remember my face as the last thing his meaningless

Existence would see" -- Duke of hearts

Left in the woods with only the trees guide him home

His rage grew inside, and he approached the guild to change his life

But first he must bleed the innocence of a cub, under a moonlight sky

He moved to the forest and stepped foot into the mist,

Fearing what lay ahead, he prayed the mother be gone

So he could steal the precious son, the transformation done

Deep he reached into this den, when a brush of fur had surprised him

He dragged it out, held its mouth

And ran with it where he had a clear view of the sky

The blade did slit and whimpers did emit

As the blood turned silver dripping to his tongue

A body now changed his hate did glow like a flame

Blindly he ran to the heart of his problems

Scaling walls beyond guards wisdom

When he came upon a glass window, where duke's voice did echo

"Foolish lad, it would bring me great joy to see him blindly wander the woods alone" - Duke of hearts

Wrath you have never witnessed before

As baptise ripped through the glass

And swiped blindly and violently

He felt bones turn to dust and the flesh rained from the air

He did not stop until the screams so did

"My existence may be meaningless,

but to exist at all at this stage is a blessing, I'm sure you would agree" - Baptise

Searching surrounds with no avail of his soul

The deep rage he had settled and died,

where he approached the oak sick at him once more, and stroked it affectionately

An arrow pierced his heart,

Blood covered the ground and flew between the cracks, touching roots

His life faded away as the leaves shot from the trees branches
