I. Songs of Creation
In the great beginning
Sky and Earth were combined, joined as one
From yin and yang came springing
Pangu the god, from the balance
And so, light shone through the cosmos
As he worked, lifting Sky from Earth
Above the highest mountains
The goddess Nüwa soared
With her hands she molded humans out of clay
She smiled upon the fertile land
Where her children ran and played
And all was good beneath the light of day
II. The War of Water and Fire
The other gods looked upon the world
And mobilized their pawns across the board
As Sky and Sea vied for strength and more
Opposing forces soon descend to war
The God of Water rises
From the ocean, fighting to control
His waves come crashing down upon the people
Drowning out the world
From above the God of Fire
Rising higher, raining down his curse
The towering flames of destruction
Smite the land and devastate the Earth
So let them fight, the ocean and the flame
Their raging war puts the world at stake
With every blow, Nüwa’s children pay
As Pangu’s world falls into decay
Break the beams that yet hold up the sky
Triumph in the end, it shall be mine
The sea is where life forms and dies
No one else may rule over the Earth, no one but I
III. Nüwa Mends the Heavens
Heal the Earth
With five stones, revive
Patch the blue sky
She drew her last breath
And fell into a slumber
Gong the Tyrant sends forth his monsters
As she sleeps, to siphon out her healing blood
