To travel through time

Heedless I enter

Into cold chamber

Lifetime obsession my eyes behold

Rapture and fear

It can transport me to any place on earth

To any time

Euphoria shrouds my mind

Miscalculation

In agony I dematerialize

Each molecule torn apart

I appear in a cave

Fresh paintings gleam in

Fire light from the dark

A savage cry I turn

To see bewildered eyes as

My skull splits open and I’m at once alive

I stare in awe as the bomb drops

Skies split asunder a second sun appears

Radiation wave reduces me to ash

Forest floor I stand upon

Tremors, echoes, monstrous shrieks

Instantly surrounded

By ancient beasts

Tyrannosaurs lunge at their prey

Dismember limb from limb

My blood excites their frenzy

To devour their own kin

Castle walls I tread

Crumble beneath me

Arrows pierce my flesh

Blades decapitate

Time warp beyond control

Each jump degrades me

I leave a piece behind

With every waking death

Sickness corrodes my mind

As I observe the future

Civilization is no more

A barren wasteland of lost potential

Humanity destroys itself

I witness as my sanity slips away

Falling through the time warp till I am no more
