When tried by the hand of man

They tamed primeval wood

The ancient earth dweller

The virgin Earth gave life to me

From the spring of her breast

Til the sun dried her tears

And took this life from me

So when in tears

The love of years

Melts like fallen snow

Within this heart

Life falls apart

For another life to grow

Like silent streams that carve out roads

From new fountains that overflow

Deep in the heart whose hope has died

Quenching the fires its ashes hide
