Before the dawn I rise

I am in your waking thought

While in sleep you drown me out

Not wanting to relive this

Just an image slowly fading

One day I'll be nothing

But forgotten fragments

Unloved and set adrift

It was for love that pushed you away

In kindness, or so you thought

To the point of no return

The gathered looked in horror

One of many spectres

That linger in these walls

Unseen and unknown

We slowly lose our identity

Should you build your love in stone?

To last beyond your years

Spiteful death, and crooked ghost

Casts scars upon my name

In sunset hues, the choir rejoice

No such peace could be bought

God rest their souls

They shall sleep forever more
