I sit alone in the dark

There's a bottle half-drunk and a deck of cards

Past eve is clouding my mind

I reminisce and raise another pint

Another pint for the ones

that fell in the night

May we all meet again beyond twilight

The reign of the night has fallen o'er us

The still of the moment hangs so hefty above

So I await the dawn

The sands of time drip away

Through darkness eternal

Frozen in nightfall

In darkness I yearn for the light

Events racing past my eyes

Staring right back trough time

To places and moments that long ago have died
