Slumber, watcher, till the spheres
Six and twenty thousand years
Have revolv’d, and I return
To the spot where now I burn
beneath the shadow of Sothis
rising waters conceal
that which is unseen
must flow into the light
when the dark withers by
cycles emerge anew
the end of eternity and
the beginning of infinity
the first stars gather
unhurried
the light of beginning fades
farther then forgotten
Slumber, watcher, till the spheres
Six and twenty thousand years
Have revolv’d, and I return
To the spot where now I burn
