This deadly passage Is squeezing mind with ice Of the constant threat. But we struggle, Since its fateful dice Hasn’t chosen yet At last, we reached the cloudy height, Our feet made trails in onyx sand. The place where starlight governs night, The hall, where time has no direction. We walked around by window glass and heard a loud knock from the outside. The shadows we’d seen were getting clear, Shaping a figure in a decrepit cloak. Its ashen skull with unnatural grin Was lightened by the timeless glow. It’s sight was like a crowd of dark Creatures around who were In lust for living flesh. But it remained so calm as if The hunt was done by old Dry hands for centuries. We stepped behind pursued By shade on top of skies As it was always in there. Searching for lore we came Too far and reached the realm Where no-one can help to get out. Quiet laughter of the deity Shook our hearts with primal stun. It raised one hand to stars above us, And waved the other across the pile of sand. Its empty eyeholes Have crashed the mental chains - And brought us to the gate: We go further, Since the hand of fate Hasn’t touched us yet Thus we have abandoned that realm: No life was in its endless turn. Far-floating stars have never made night warmer, Perception of the end brought sense to life.
