Their Debt Lyrics

Some time ago, there forest stood,

And its’ spirit was our neighbor.

Some time ago, they cut the wood –

He vanished leaving just a mirror.

Like a window to the distant world

The mirror lies in a lonely land.

It saves in never-ending cold

All those who’ll never live again.

Crooked they lie till the ends of time

Waiting for their debt could be repaid.

Nothing left that could help remind

Why they lie in this lonely land.

Dead bones stick out from swamp

They feel so hungry, they feel so raw.

Ashen light reveals skulls

Staring at the night sky in search of the moon.

Dark rust covered their swords

Ate up their armor, decayed their souls.

One day they could repay

Their debt to one who will gather us all.

Some time ago, there people lived,

Who didn’t come when was their turn.

Some time ago, they broke the oath –

And fled in woods with no defense.

Like a window to the distant world

The mirror lies on lonely land.

It saves in never-ending cold

All those who’ll never live again.

Restless wraiths walk around the swamp,

Seeking for warmth they couldn’t feel.

Day and night they can’t forgive and forget

Why they wonder in this lonely land.

Dead bones stick out from swamp

They feel so hungry, they feel so raw.

Ashen light reveals skulls

Staring at the night sky in search of the moon.

Dark rust covered their swords

Ate up their armor, decayed their souls.

One day they could repay

Their debt to one who will gather us all.
