In stillness the fog recedes
The stars in silence remain
Below the treeline in gloom
My heart cries
The fires we burn reveal shadows
We mold and shape
The equinox proceeds and cycles on
With hope and darkness
We cling to this wandering star
Walking familiar paths
How they change, they change
On gravel roads, in dreams, there’s a place I wish to go. A place to call home. The chains that bind are all I leave behind. Believe me when I say I tried, on that dusty drive beneath the stars. There’s only so much that could be done. But on that dark night I saw eyes that shined as black as coal in the mountainside.
