I saw this man standing.

Staring into the horizon

Waiting for something to appear

And take him away from here.

I saw this sick man smiling,

Breathing his very last moments,

As he faced the herd of mammoths.

Heading towards him…

As fog unveiled the immense animals,

Extended trunk met the man´s shaking hand.

And soon I saw him riding silently.

Away from this land… Away from this life…
