I saw the angel last night

The angel is so close to me

But I can’t reach it with my hand

The snake is crawling ‘round his neck

He spits on stupid human clay

I heard the song, almighty voice

That melted my innocent self

It got me high, I nearly flew

Over corrupted human head

The chill went through the filthy flesh

And grew the wings, spread them wide

The human clay started to run

But then there was no place to hide

Give me my wings

I want to fly

Baptised in sin, blessed with grace

The crossroads to heavenly feast

To harvest crops of fatal seed

For I’m the angel and the beast
