Under the moonlit sky

with the waves crashing beneath my feet

and my hands interlocked with yours

I always find comfort in you

and as the stars watched over us

I hear as you say you love me

and then suddenly you vanished without a trace…

everything feels so distorted in your absence

and our memories became new lacerations

the waves no longer crash beneath my feet

and the stars have left the sky

with no hope left inside

I looked up and saw that even the moon has died

since you left…

so, I walked out into the field

that same one we loved so much

in hopes I would find you

but like always you were gone

and my heart feels so vacant

with empty eyes and a heavy chest

I cut open my wrists

and I watch reminiscences of you

leaving my body

rose coloured rivers seeping out of me

and it permeates the air like your purfume once did

and as I drift in and out of consciousness

I look back onto out memories…
