Many miles long I have tread
For the ancient knowledge that I seek
Powerful wisdom long lost to time
Only the mountain witch can give me
A ray of sunlight cuts across the sky
A shadow from above catches my eye
Could it be the one I'm looking for?
The blizzard comes before I can be sure
The Mountains peak looms far above me
Ahead begins the dark, treacherous climb
But the high priestess of old I must meet
Give me all of what is rightfully mine
My fingers numb and covered in blood
My body broken by the bitter winds
I cannot fall to the wolves below
And have my carcass drip from their chins
The Mountains peak draws nearer as I climb
The hail hits my flesh like one thousand knives
On precipice to summit I do crawl
This raging storm has taken its toll
Bruised and bleeding,
Body freezing
Stumbling through this fog unyielding
I can't see far beyond my breath
My next step could lead me to death
Sacred goddess three
Come to my aid, I implore thee
Each step I take through the white and grey
I see nothing here to take away
Not a single soul, no single tree
No one stands up here, except for me
From the corner of my eyesight
I see something dark amongst light
Ominous and shrouded in ice
I stagger closer to my prize
Its not an ancient monolith
In front of me there stands a mirror
Anchored deep in snow and rock
I walk toward it and see nothing
But myself staring back at me
On the summit of this mountain
I turn back and gaze out beyond
Within my soul I see new meaning
