Verse 1 Time and time again I look upon their reign Still never do I see any rhyme or reason Their errors teach them not They live by afterthought For their faults they accuse their kind of treason Verse 2 Chronicles untold and legends I withhold Yet this world never ceases to surprise me From their births to their end their history is penned They live their lives in ignorance, carefree Chorus My plight is to watch them, tasked by the universe to witness the rise and the fall The eternal sage that wanders indifferently for theirs is this world to ruin or rejuvenate Interlude I behold myriads of stars that burst in flames and give new life and gods and titans engulfing worlds in cosmic war Yet in their feeble minds they are the center of all strife They pray to gods yet see themselves as much more Such self-importance has led greater reigns to their downfall long before the horsemen could reap their souls They fail to see that greater beings rule above all although they worship them in their holy scrolls Chorus My plight is to watch them, tasked by the universe to witness the rise and the fall The eternal sage that wanders indifferently for theirs is this world to ruin or rejuvenate Verse 3 All that I have seen cannot compare to their turmoil It seems whatever they find they will spoil Throughout the eons when I’ve wandered I’ve come to realize some things are meant not to change and I must leave them alone to die
