I have lost faith in this race

What a filthy virus we have become

A sucking parasite, consuming and wasting

Appreciation, we know not of

Destroying beauty in the name of false divine

A destructive species, unkind and uncaring

This is what we are,

This is what we have been

We build empires

That profit from secrets and war

Not efficiency and peace.

Thriving on self destruction

Striving for death's sweet release

Consuming everything in sight

Never satisfied with advancement

Humanity be thy fatal flaw

Monopoly be thy purpose

The recklessness of man

He defies logic or reason

Will he ever reach the stars?

The Inevitable ruination of his world

Lump in his throat, man can barely breathe

Merciful resolution nature does not see fit
