so that you can get the context. I love truth.

In a frustrating, dismal time in my life

I couldn’t decipher truth from lie

Ignorance and confusion shrouded my mind

I groped for answers I didn’t know how to find

You had the knowledge I was looking for

Taught and inspired me search for more

If you’re going to defend the truth,

you must know the truth.

It is a pleasure to listen to you teach

And have my questions answered intelligently

I appreciate your scholarship and honesty

For pointing out truth where it’s hard to see

Know that for whatever is or will come to be

That your influence will always be with me
