Escaping the Matrix (Cataclysm 5c) Lyrics

nearing Alpha Centauri B, I find 2 raider ships to bombard

attacking their ships with sprays of death and maneuvering around

with their guns in hand I'm ready for them, transporting aboard my ship

killing them off in the instant they materialize

rushing to the ship's controls, I move out of the way just in time

delivering one final blow to one of the ships, it is destroyed

I must destroy them all, I must kill them as soon as they appear next to me

one of them shoots my metal arm off, with the other I blow out his brains

as I turn to face their ship, I panic, this could be the end

with one arm I will go down fighting till my last breath for Vic

but what is that glitch in the corner of my eye

strange flashes of a checkered surface underneath

glitches in reality

Pat solo

the glitching of reality keeps flashing before my very eyes

until I'm alone in a cube-checkered room and a door in front of me

with a strange feeling of my hand that was gone, I look down and see

I have and can feel both fleshly hands, and I see with my old 2 eyes

as I turn to face their ship, I panic, this could be the end

with one arm I will go down fighting till my last breath for Vic

but what is that glitch in the corner of my eye

strange flashes of a checkered surface underneath

I have escaped from the matrix

(now that you've escaped the matrix to find that globe and space was a fake program along with everything you experienced in life, you can go back and listen to Crossing Infinity and Shark Sustenance as interludes with the new lyrics that reflect how the events happened in a similar way in the new reality. It's in this order on the Across Antarctica 1 album as it reflects how I have to try to re-learn history and try to remember what life and everything is like in this new reality, even though it may be impossible because I may have somehow manifested as a nonexistent figure from a program of 1000 years ago.

Interlude I: catching up on history--the first flight:

Crossing Infinity

my dream of ice travel will finally come true

sonic concorde warp drive, I'll be first to leave the realm

I'll be soaring along the ice, seeing with night vision

visiting the puddles we get to, and meeting new civilizations

but what will happen if they're hostile?

strapping me down and dissecting me?

I hope they won't but it's the risk I'll take

to explore across the ice

coasting the ice-plane, crossing antarctica

off we'll go 'cross antarctica, into endless dark ice-plane

the pitfalls and the possibilities will be our guiding light

explore new realms, discover cures, to save humanity

traveling 'cross antarctica, crossing infinity

crossing antarctica, crossing infinity

exploring new realms and seeing new things

advanced cultures and societies

my dreams realized nothing will stop me

soon as we're ready, we will embark

pre-chorus & chorus

Dan bass solo/Dan guitar solo then repeat pre-chorus & chorus again

Interlude II: what happened to our home-realm--the great flooding:

Shark Sustenance

welcome to this dark future, prepare to witness the end of man

our inevitable end-times

climate-warming now complete, and the flooding has begun

our earth becomes an ocean-realm

there is no where left to run, there is nowhere left to hide

and we do not possess gills

we cannot survive this fate, as the waves engulf us all

we'll either drown or be consumed

drown or be consumed

shark sustenance, end of man

shark sustenance, drown or be consumed

as we try to stay afloat, fall asleep and we will drown

there is nothing we can do

the sharks come for sustenance, they are hungry for our blood

the human race will become prey

aquatic predators will feast, as the ocean becomes red

and we all get devoured

it's the dawning of a new age, on this ocean puddle realm

our extinction is at hand

extinction at hand

shark sustenance, end of man

shark sustenance, extinction at hand

Pat solos

now our final hour comes, the resistance makes us slow

we are trapped in a nightmare

jaws of death tear us apart, predators feasting on man

this ocean realm is our hell

feel our bodies come undone, feel our insides floating out

one more bite will end the pain

we do not survive this fate, the aquatics rule earth-realm

our extinction has arrived

extinction of the human race

shark sustenance, end of man

shark sustenance, extinction has come)

Now it's time for the bonus tracks, Chapter 6 of the story, which close out the Across Antarctica 1 album.
